Ohhh, reading this made me want to watch the episode again. It walked such a fine line between moving and hopelessly ridiculous, and hardly faltered. (I wasn't thrilled about the use of contemporary music, since it's just going to end up dating the episode, but at least it was well used.)

Amy's belief at the end that they'd fixed everything was so sweet and so sad all at once. That's a rough lesson in the reality of mental illness, and I'm really glad the show went there. Ha, trust Doctor Who to use Vincent van Gogh and an invisible chicken of death to create a Very Special Episode that doesn't even feel like one. Fuck, I love this show.
