I didn't know you wrote a sequel!!!! Awesome! I found "The Admiral" on ff.net, and I'm SO pleased to see this. Oh how I love Scruffington. Far too fics are written about him, and the fics where he's in Tortuga never focus on anything other than his thoughts. I love how he interacts with the inhabitants.

Fabulous story.
