Random Thought

I was looking through a picspam I did ages ago for this and noticed

That hasn’t been in series four so far has it?

There’s a wristwatch in the background that suggests contemporary Earth, but the blue suit was worn in the Sontaran two-parter and I’m very sure that’s not from Partners in Crime.

While I’m not particularly knowledgeable in 1920s wristwatches, it couldn’t be from The Unicorn and the Wasp since he wears a white shirt in that episode underneath the brown suit. It’s part of the cinema trailer which was released before the Silence in the Library and the season finale were filmed.

But wasn’t Partners in Crime filmed back to back with Turn Left, which is how they got the Billie cameo in the first place? Does this mean the Doctor is in fact in Turn Left?

...how should I feel about RTD taking writing duties over from the guy who wrote Fires?

I don't think it was Moran, I think it was Tom McRae (?), the guy who wrote TIP/TSP, and the script was apparently pulled because it was too similar to something else in the season - so it may yet show up reworked in series five.

You're right. It was Tom McRae who was pulled from "Midnight," not Moran--except McRae wrote "Rise of the Cybermen" and "The Age of Steel," not TIP/TSP, which were Matt Jones. I hate RotC and TAoS quite a lot, so I'm really not too upset that McRae is gone (at least for a while).

I guess I thought it was Moran, because I still have a great deal of residual hate for him for "Sleeper" and didn't love TFoP as much as everyone else seems to have. *shrugs*

I'd still take Davies over Jones, McRae, or Moran. Then again, I didn't hate LotTL as much as everyone else seems to have. *shrugs again*
