I'm Not Sure Who I'm Bargaining With But...

I’ve thought about The Doctor’s Daughter and decided that I can and will be fine anything this episode shall throw out at fandom and canon so long as there is costume change between the leaving whatever time/planet the TARDIS Trio find Jenny, and Martha departing. Because, of course, a costume change means that Ten, Donna and Martha had unseen adventures (and fandom can fill in the gaps). Hurrah! Actually, I’ll take any hint those three had adventures in time and space together other than what we see on telly, and I’ll be happy.

If not, then I reserve the right to throw things and complain bitterly if I don’t like it for the silliest of reasons. Deal?

Unless Rose turns out to be Jenny’s mum. Then all bargains are off (so far I really like the way they’ve been handling the return of Rose, but the Doctor’s and Rose’s lovechild would quickly evaporate my current goodwill towards RTD). But I really don’t think that’s going to happen.

Seriously though, I want more Ten/Donna/Martha. Donna and Martha can gang up on Ten, Donna can mock the two doctors when she figures out something before they do, Martha can have adventures with the Doctor again with Donna making sure he doesn’t begin to act like an arse towards her. Girly chats in the TARDIS! Threesomes! There’s so much potential, but we haven’t even got any promo pics of the three of them together without a bloody Sontaran in the middle. *sulks*

Thank you! Thank you thank you thank you! People have been preemptively wanking based on virtually nothing and damnit I'm so excited about this episode it's causing physical impairments and I don't want to begrudge anyone their feelings but my squee wants some space please.

Truly, the costume change is the operative part. That point seems to be getting missed in all the focus on things less central to the episode once you get things into proper perspective. Tsk.

And I really wouldn't worry about the lovechild business. That just sounds far too ridiculous to be true. I'm a bit amused people are entertaining that concern, actually. Fandom's excess of cynicism seems to have missed me, maybe?

In conclusion, EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

I love the Ten/Donna/Martha dynamic! Hopefully there will be much combined awesomeness next week. In all honesty, as long as the characters are their usual amazing selves, I probably won't mind if the plot is crap. Especially if they have fab hair.

Nah, Jenny is not Rose's daughter. Not only is she the Doctor's daughter, she's one of those 56 children Jack has. Yep. It's canon.

True. I love those characters. 42 minutes of them sitting around the TARDIS reading the phonebook would be an enjoyable episode for me.

And the Face of Boe was pregnant in The Long Game - I think we have our explanation as to Jenny's existence ;)
