I've never read the book, and rather got into the movie for the legal debate. It is more about the book though than the law. There is a lot of discussion about it's literary merit and also what Lawrence was really trying to say, but also a bit about its failings, but because I haven't read it or have any feelings either way, I'm really not sure if it's a good movie for people who have studied the book.
