The writer's search for a character arc for Lee did give us some amusing things (namely Fat!Lee), but I really wish the Dee/Lee storyline hadn't happened since it derailed Dee as well. Plus more interesting Lee relationships got thrown by the wayside such as his friendship/mentorship with Roslin. One minute he's her trusted second in command, next they don't talk for a season and a half.
He was a much better character in season four when he was used sparingly and (for the most part) only when the storyline called for his presence.
