Re: Deathly Hallows Book Cover
Mar. 29th, 2007 08:12 amHarry goes Horocrux hunting with Dobby? Seriously? Harry's got defence experts, trained Aurors, curse breakers and shape-shifters at his disposal and he takes the House Elf. Well, I suppose, what with how much people adore…no wait, nobody particularly adores Dobby. I'm not dreading the book, I'm sure it'll work brilliantly. I'm dreading the movie.
Ron's holding the Gryffindor's sword! You go Ron! Show those naysayers what your made of (just please don't get yourself killed in the process)
Man, that Voldemort's smarter than he looks. Why use traps when you can just burry a Horocrux in treasure? Then you've got a needle in a haystack scenario.
Also, I get the vibe from the US cover that the last battles not going to be in Hogwarts. Or if it is, it'll be in the Quiddich pitch. It's a shame, I was really attached to the idea that Voldemort's defeat would happen in the Great Hall.
Is that curtain the veil? Maybe that's the way Harry's going to kill Voldemort without the killing curse, by giving him a good shove. Or maybe, just maybe, two way veil travel is possible and Voldemort's victims decide to let him join the party.
ETA: No wait, on closer inspection it's Dobby and not Ron holding the sword. Er. Alright.

I think a House-Elf might be quite useful to have along -- especially a free House-Elf -- as they have a different and powerful brand of magic of their own and could do things wizards couldn't (like they can Apparate within Hogwarts, for example).
