And well done for giving it a proper ending and at the same time leaving it open for possible further sequels! Which I hope you will treat us to. May AWE inspire you to many, many more plot bunnies!
I thought the Governor's voice was especially good in this. I can really hear him. Spot on.
Favourite lines:
“Are you quite done?” he asked.
What a Norrington thing to say in that sort of situation!
“It’s not a period I like to dwell on,” The Admiral replied coldly.
*snark*
I hope there'll be sparks flying between Norrington and Beckett in AWE, too. I love those dynamics. (No, not sparks of *that* kind. Honestly. ;-))
Oh and
tucking a pistol into her corset
I don't buy that. Technically, I mean. Just remember what huge things pistols were back then. I don't think they would fit into a corset.
In comparison to the prequels though, I must admit that this one seems a bit less, shall we say, polished? Probably because you - understandably - wanted to post it before AWE. If you have the time, it would be worth looking over it again, there are some little things (prepositions, pronouns and such) missing.
Anyway enjoy AWE! I won't get the chance to see it til Tuesday next week so I'll be off-line in the meantime to avoid spoilers...
