Hurray for new Doctor Who promo photos! The Doctor and Donna a really rocking the pinstripes, which is totally fine by me since I love pinstripes (my current favourite item in my wardrobe is a pinstriped waistcoat-esq corset thing, and I owned a blue pinstriped blazer long before David Tennant was cast – he stole my look damn it!)

Anyway, all my bad thoughts about season four have dissipated at the sight of Ten and Donna on the home page. No matter what happens, season four is going to be the best season ever for me, I’ve finally achieve some peace with Ten as he is, god complex and all, and Donna can do no wrong in my book.

To distract myself recently I rented Blackpool, since I’ve heard many people recommend it very highly, and it is fantastic, what with the dancing and the singing and David Tennant using his real accent. Some days I just love the BBC so much. I mean, nearly all of the brilliant television I’ve watched over the past year (mostly on DVD, I always seem to miss it first time around) is the BBC’s or at least partially theirs: Doctor Who, Life on Mars, Blackpool, ShakespeaRe-Told, The Canterbury Tales, Rome. I think next on my list of TV to track down is State of Play.

I think Donna is going to be very popular. I just have a feeling. Despite all the little niggles I'm feeling for S4, I'm sure that Donna will make it awesome.

Blackpool is brilliant, no? I love that series. David Morrissey + David Tennant + singing + dancing = amazing.

Yeah, I'm just sure Donna is going to be brilliant. A few people who have actually seen one or two episodes of season four have just been raving on about her and Catherine Tate. The Pompeii episode is a particular highlight apparently.

And really, you've got the wonderful blend of a character that can hold her own, an actress who is incredibly talented and out to prove it to the world and arguably the best chemistry between a Doctor and Companion the show has had since Four and Sarah Jane. Season four is going to be amazing.

And blackpool is brilliant. Though I have to admit, I've barely noticed David Morrissey. Me and my flatmate have been too busy squeeing over David Tennant.

Even in the Chain Reaction interview you could see how well Catherine Tate and David Tennant got along - they have so much fun together, which bodes well. Their dynamic will be magic.

Well, naturally after Tennant, I meant. For me Carlisle is easily my favourite character - so charming and manipulative, and completely irresistable.

I'm all hyped for season 4! I think Donna's going to be amazing. I agree with arctic_fox about enjoying Tennant and Tate's interaction in the Chain Reaction interview. They seem to have so much fun together, which I think will translate into a great on screen team!

And Blackpool is just too much fun. I never would have heard of the series had it not been for Doctor Who, and I'm so glad I did. The spontaneous singing and dancing is great, as is David Tennant's accent--I'm another fan! :)

Blackpool is so much fun. I just finished the last episode today and I love it to bits. And I'm another that wouldn't have heard of it if it was not for Doctor Who (actually it was that chain reaction interview that eventually made be decide to go out and rent it).
