If she does come back, I give it a 50% chance Ten will quietly kill himself off screen and 50% chance the Ten will make her brain explode coz after five days he couldn't think of a better plan.

I thought she was going to shoot the Doctor, because, you said it, this isn't BSG. The Doctor was acting pretty dangerous, so it'd make sense if she wanted to protect the world from his hubris. So not at all what I expected!

Given the audience, I really didn't think that Doctor Who would go as far as to have a character - and particularly the Companion - kill themselves. It completely caught me off guard. Thinking about it in retrospect though, Donna did exactly the same thing in Turn Left.
