Caught Il Trovatore. I think the moral of that story is to always check which baby you're throwing onto the fire. The plot is deliciously messed up. Anyway, it was totally worth going despite the tell-and-don't-show-ness (why show the sword fights or the aforementioned mistaken identity baby bonfire chucking incident when you can sing about it?) of it all just because I can now place the Anvil Chorus.

I can't believe I'm excited about the new series of Grey's Anatomy. I haven't been excited about Grey's since the unexploded bomb in the guy's chest episode – but this is what casting Kevin McKidd will achieve. Lucius Vorenus! I adore him. He should be cast in everything. Particularly Doctor Who, because he would make an excellent Eleven. So would Ray Stevenson for that matter (and Paul Cornell thinks so too). Hell, one of them should be the Doctor and the other the Companion. I'd be Rome in space, with more aliens and sadly less of the characters displaying their affection for each other through graphic violence.

I miss Rome.

Wait...Kevin McKidd? I'm starting an internship on that show tomorrow, you should tell me who he is and who he's playing so I can sound like I actually know anything other than the obvious about the show when I get there.

He's a gorgeous blond deep-voiced Scottish actor most famous for playing a Lucius Vorenus in Rome and whom you should send my way if you run into him. I haven't actually seen the episode yet, but I've heard he's playing a (recurring, I think) army Doctor and something of a love interest for Christina.

And a Grey's internship? Sounds fabulous! Do you know what it is that you're going to be getting up to? I don't suppose you can talk them into killing off Izzie and Meredeth?

I'm going to be helping out in the writing office. Gophering it up, I should think. I'm thinking not on the second front at least, what with the whole "title character" business and they don't seem to be going for a grand finale quite yet. Not to mention I actually kinda like Meredith much of the time when you pull Derek/romance out of the equation and she stops that brief period of being a bitch to Lexi for no justifiable reason. (Fine, I've caught some reruns for familiarization purposes. :d)
