It got me involved in politics too. It was the first thing I had been exposed to that said there are careers and jobs out there for people who want to be involved in government but who don't want to be politicians, and that presented public service as noble. That was a monumental revelation for me. And to be honest, I would never have even considered studying at university what I studied if I hadn't watched The West Wing.
And it's a good dream, so I'll be happy to continue dreaming it even if it doesn't ever come true :)
