With JKR’s revelation about character death I was making a mental list of characters that cannot die or I will cry. So far JKRs only killed of characters I’ve been indifferent about, Sirius and Dumbledore never really appealed to me and though I cried in the movie, I never felt I got attached enough to Cedric to feel bad for him when reading GoF.

Of course that had all changed now I’ve started writing fic. I’ve written from the perspective of Tonks, Remus, Peter, Molly, Kingsley, Snape, Narcissa and Neville, and I will be devastated if one of them were to bite it. Even Peter and Narcissa, who I don’t particularly like but still emphasise with. Though, to be honest, I wouldn’t care much if Snape died. However I want him to survive to antagonise Harry.

Though coming back to what I was on about. I think one out of Ron, Hermione, Luna, Ginny and Neville is going to be killed, somebody close to Harry and about his age and he cares about. Thinking about this, I came to the realisation that I no longer like Hermione. This is rather sad since I used to like her a lot. But I think a combination of movie PinkPowerRanger!Hermoine, bad Hermione/Snape fics where she treats Harry and Ron like crap and the huge amounts of wank surrounding Hermione pairings has really left a bad taste in my mouth for the character.

I was tagged by [livejournal.com profile] le_parapluie: List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your livejournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to.

I’m cheating a bit. This morning I found you can listen to the new Muse album (the one I was impatient to hear a few days ago), on Myspace here so they are all Muse songs that have yet to be released since I’ve been listening to it all day.

1. Take a Bow
2. Starlight
3. Solder’s Poem
4. Invincible
5. Exo-Politics
6. City of Delusions
7. Knights of Cydonia

The album is just amazing, especially Knights of Cydonia which is just epic.

Other people, lets see: I'll tag [livejournal.com profile] melusinahp, [livejournal.com profile] laverinth, [livejournal.com profile] fishity, [livejournal.com profile] author_by_night and [livejournal.com profile] ragdoll.

ETA: Ghana got knocked out of the world cup by Brazil. And with Michael Owen out with injuries the rest of the tournament, I no longer care about the World Cup.

Writing about a character totally makes me like them so much more. I was merely irritated by Draco until I wrote him and now I find him facinating.

I can't think about which characters are going to die anymore. It's just making my head spin. I'm preparing myself for the worst.

I did the music meme a little while ago. Fun. :)

I haven't tried Draco, but writing Neville made me really appreciate him. Really, to write a character well you have to get under their skin and learn what makes them tick which makes us become closer to them.

Hm...I can identify with Hermione to some extent - strangely enough, that makes disliking her a bit more difficult :) As for Snape, I'd definitely be upset if he died - he's one of the most interesting characters to me - but I also expect it to happen and I can imagine several scenarios in which it would make sense.

Already did the meme about two weeks ago to display my completely random taste in music *g*

But...but...the World Cup! *stammers*

Your icon is so very awesome. JKR after this week's interview :)

JKR is the ultimate evil genius and I think she knows it.

I identify with Hermione as well, which is on of the reasons its so unfortunate I don’t like her anymore. I think Snape’s days are numbered since usually the traitor dies, which is unfortunate since Snape is far more interesting alive.

Now that Brazil's on a warpath and Germany’s doing well, the cups just gotten predictable again. The entire world plays football, but it’s always the same teams that do well, so I’m bored with it until next world cup.

And who can blame her for enjoying the suspense she can create with interviews like last week's while she still can?

Snape is an extremely interesting character - on which side do you think he is? Meaning, to which siede (if not both) do you think he is a traitor?

Really? I'm amazed at how well Germany's doing. They played so badly in the European Championship two years ago, and the games before the World Cup mostly weren't that promising either. When the coach said in an interview last year that he wanted the team to win the World Cup, everyone was laughing at him. With that and with Italy and France getting stronger with every game they play, the excitement has just begun for me :)
