Random Writing Question

Is there anything wrong with having the character from which we are taking the point of view from changing when I change scene? It’s only two characters in a >5000 word one shot. I’m just stuck and I want to have two characters perspective on events and each other. I used to do it quite a bit and then sort of got it into my head that it’s a bad thing and I shouldn't do it.

Personally, I don't do it unless there's a clear break where I can transition from one character to another so, for example, write in Persona A most of the text and then break, then Persona B for the last part. But I know a lot of other people switch characters in the middle. My only advice is that make sure you're clear when switching your characters, otherwise the reader will get lost.
