Isn't anyone else just a little disappointed that we only get one shot of the Order itself in the OotP trailer. On the other hand

Though where on earth is Remus? Don't tell me Harry just decides to go along with the Order without Remus there. He's only been duped by a fake Mad-Eye Moody once before, which only lead to the death of one person. I suppose not quite as bad as choosing an escape convict over Snape before he gets an explanation like in PoA, but movie!Harry's a bit of an idiot (though he gives a good speech, I'll give him that).

Meanwhile my flatmate watched Daleks in Manhattan and she though the random decomposing thing was a Rutan too (well in her words "the enemy of the things" which I've translated to mean Rutans) and she's not half the fangirl I am (and I don't even think she's seen Horror of Fang Rock, just the documentary on Sontarans from the Sontaran Experiment DVD). Maybe the BBC is recycling old props.

Another thing, I cannot express how much I'm loving Heroes right now. Not only is there such a great villain in Sylar (I demand a Sylar vs. Voldemort cage match!), but one of the most complex and interesting relationships in the show is between a father and his daughter. It's tomato soup for the gen loving soul (Tomato soup is infinitely times better then Chicken soup.)

And finally, I was watching Singing in the Rain today and am totally in love with Gene Kelly. He's so dreamy.

Remus is definitely in there -- he's at the dinner table at Grimmauld Place and there are pictures of him holding Harry back at the end of the Battle at the Ministry. It is silly that he's not with the Order as Advance Guard but a lot of movie!verse logic makes very little sense. Sadly, I've heard tell that Tonks is only going to have about 3 minutes screen time which makes me really sad.

Gene Kelly is the man. Me love him long time and I can recite Singin' in the Rain in my sleep. Scary, that! :)

Oh yeah, I know he's going to be in the movie, I was complaining about the lack of him in the Advance Guard. But I agree movie!verse logic makes little since.

Only three minutes of Tonks though? :( Can't say I wasn't expecting Tonks to get screwed over in the adaptation though. At least she wasn't cut entirely, which I'm really worried that might happen in HBP.

I realised that you were saying that after I'd responded to the post. I should actually read what people are saying before answering them. *hangs head shamefully* But you're right, Remus ought to be there as he is in the book so Harry can actually verify that they're people he can trust and not more Death Eaters in Disguise. Sheesh... it also looks like they just sort of show up on the Durselys' front lawn rather than coming in and rescuing him. In the book, there were a few other people other than Moody and Remus and Tonks -- Hestia Jones and the guy with the hat at least so I guess that's their 15 seconds of fame right there!

I was hoping Tonks might get a bit more to say/do but this explains why there's been no promotional pictures of her released. She'll just be part of the Advanced Guard and then show up at the end of the film to fight at the Ministry without any explanation about who she is or what she is. She'll just be some cute young chick with purple hair, I bet. In which case, I doubt there will be much of her in HBP and even less (if anything) about her and Remus if she's there at all. I'm wondering if poor Bill is even going to be introduced at this point which would suck because who wants 'Hi, I'm the hot Weasley, oh oops, now I'm not cos I've been mauled by a werewolf'?

It's a shame that Remus/Tonks and Bill/Fleur probably are going to be cut for time, they were the two light points in an otherwise pretty bleak ending.

And poor audience, we miss out on the hot Weasley. Considering how well they've done with the casting all the other Weasley's, I'd love to see the guy who's going to play the hot Weasley.

I'm not missing Bill/Fleur in the least so the less we see of it, the better. Remus/Tonks? Depends on how it's played and how badly Steve Kloves butchers it.

Unfortunately, if you saw what the guy playing Bill looked like in Prisoner of Azkaban, I'm not sure I want to see Bill. Supposedly he was promised the role if they included Bill again -- but he looked like a craggy farm hand, not The Hot Weasley. The Charlie actor was just as bad -- the only thing he had going for him was a resemblance to Chris Rankin. I don't know how the casting people managed to get cute kids for Ginny, Ron and Twins but mangled the two oldest and clearly hottest brothers. Sheesh...

Maybe the help of Tonks prompts him to leave? I mean, how many pureblood, elitist Death Eaters have pink hair? ;)

But seriously, yeah, it's too bad, because I love that whole scene, where Harry is comforted by hearing Remus's voice, and Remus knows it's really Harry because of his patronus. At least it looks like they're keeping him holding Harry back after Sirius's death, though.

Yeah, at least we have him in the ministry which is one of the big Remus moments the fandom loves. Though I just don't understand how hard it would be to put Remus in the Advance Guard scene since DT is already contracted for the movie. Maybe his schedule clashed with filming.

Gene Kelly's thighs are a thing of beauty! Did you ever see the Pirate? They're bare, there.

No, I haven't seen that movie. I'll keep an eye out for it.

I too think its stupid that they didn't include Lupin in the Advance Guard. I mean, he's the only one out of the bunch who Harry knows and kinda trusts, cuz you can't say he knows Moody seeing as he wasn't actually 'Moody' in GoF!

But, I'll live. I'm really happy that we finally saw 'official' footage of the Order members. Weird how they line up to Accio their brooms, huh? :D

It is weird they're doing that with their brooms. Standing in a huddle and discussing a plan of attack for the trip back would be more appropriate. Oh well. I should really stop criticising the movie before I even see it.

Yes. :D I should too. I keep reminding myself that the movies are different from the books, but I seem to fail to remember. XD
