It’s amazing how many headlines are about the lack of romance planned for season four. It makes me want to ship Ten/Donna (which I do already just a little bit) just because we’ve been promised by everyone under the sun that it’s never going to happen.

Anyway, a few clips from Partners in Crime are floating around out there because some wonderful people have been putting them up on YouTube and I’ve collected a few of the links for anyone who doesn't want to have to search:

GMTV Discussion of the show. Featuring David discussing Catherine, Catherine discussing the lack of romance in the TARDIS, clips of the Adipose (they’re so cute!) and a clip involving, Donna, a wrench and a window which made me laugh out loud (Donna is my hero).

A clip of the birth of the Adipose, featuring Donna and some poor soul named Stacey. Kind of harps back to Aliens of London just a little bit.

The true ‘I’ll find him’ scene which was show cut up in the cinema trailer. This clip wins. It really does. Donna and her Granddad on the strength of the one scene alone have become my favourite companion-family member relationship on the show. (The music playing is ‘After the Chase’ from which is from TRB – I’m thinking that piece of music may have become Donna’s theme).

Team TARDIS 08. Pretty much a longer version of the clip shown on the Friday Night Project, but now showing with the Doctor and Donna discussing the Titanic and disappearing Bees.

ETA: And on Bebo, a BBC New report with yet more clips. Plus DT discussing fanmail, CT admitting she never watched the show and bonus Lis Sladen.

You know... I'm so tempted to look at those links, but I'm not going to. Sure, if I had a month to wait I would be all over them like a fat kid with cake, but seeing our wait is OMGSOCLOSE, I'm going to try and resist. :D

Eat the cake!

The way I see it is that at the very most there is three minutes of footage there. The episode is 46 minutes long, so if you watch them, you've still got 43 minutes of new episode to watch. On the other hand, you will be spoiled for the look of the monster.

Though if you're really worried about spoilers, you can still watch the third link since there's no monster or Doctor and most of it was in the cinema trailer. Oh, and if you've watched the Friday Night Project, the fourth link isn't going to ruin anything for you.

LOL, thanks for that. I did see the FNP one. To be honest, I'm not that worried about spoilers. If I stumble across them in my happenings around LJ than yea, that's fine. But for some reason I always find it so great to watch an episode without any *clue* of what is going to happen, or even know what is coming. But this urge might change in two hours time.

I like that idea in theory. I'd never ever been able to go through with it though. I'm such a spoiler whore. I can actually stop myself from reading spoiler threads on message boards if I'm really try, but clips I can't help myself.

I'm the other way round. Reading it, for me, is far more disconnected than actually *seeing* it, so you still can get that kick out of the actual visuals at the time of getting the full story. I think perhaps clips just drive me insane and make me want MORE RIGHT THEN. I don't really have a definitive spoiler style - goes on a case by case basis. If those clips were released tomorrow, I might have pounced on them... I'm a bit manic like that.

I don't mind seeing things, I do mind ruining a cliffhanger or plot. Great text spoilers and written set report and photographs are usually highly confidential things leaked from the script so more likely to ruin an episode, I find. Which is why I give them up. Clips on the other hand are vetted by TPTB to make sure they never give particularly much away, so I see them as spoiler-lite low-calorie spoilers. Of course, they leave you still hungry, if not more hungry, which is when I break and head for the meaty set reports and ruin my dinner - and this analogy is really running away with me.

Already I hate the inevitable fat jokes, and I think I liked this plot better when it was called "Invasion of the Bane". But I can already tell that my love for Donna will suck me right back in, so I may as well disengage my brain for the next thirteen weeks.

My brain disengaged itself shortly after it learned of that Harriet Jones spoiler. The past couple of weeks have been bliss.

I do wish RTD would lay off the fat jokes, though. He managed to make it the entire way through season three, would it have killed him to hold out until, I dunno, when he eventually quits in 2031. Actually, he probably had to create some kind of fat monster after SJA took the fat jokes away from the Slitheen.

omg I love you. Also the way Ten gives his explanation to Donna, it's not as wacky rambly but not quite too distracted and they already sound familiar. (I suppose it helps they've met once, but it still sounds different than he usually does it.) Also, little Donna. XD

I love the thought of little Donna on the bus! I vote for the wacky adventures of little Donna as a pre-school spin off - like Dora the Explorer but with temper tantrums and biting.

I love that we've had basically the same reaction. As soon as EVERYONE is like: this is a no-go, people. Then I pretty much don my ill-fitting tinhat. I mean, not really, but you get my gist.

Well, we're guaranteed that it's not going to be a badly written romance if it's not going to be written at all, which, for me, makes it far more appealing than any of the other NuWho ships. Plus I don't like being told who I'm not going to ship any more that I like being told who I'm supposed to ship.
