Shiny new trailer! When did Rose get so awesome? Maybe it's that bloody great big gun.

Anyway, if I had to pick out one bit which really interested me, it's this:



I think this is Rose's dimension hopping machine, and that's alt!Donna powering it. I've been predicting for some time that Donna is the breach between worlds, and has been since Doomsday. And that thing on her back: Pete's World.

This is the best evidence I've had yet. Well, it does look like some bodged up machine, and there seems to be UNIT soldiers reflecting in the mirror, and we all know Donna's a bit of a soft touch - convince her that lives are at stake and she probably would volunteer to act as a human Duracell. It's the convincing her that's the hard part.

Damn it Donna, why do you have to be so wonderful. I'm going to be balling my eyes out for the last three episodes straight, I just know it.

I could barely catch what that was in the trailer.

The only thing getting unadulterated squee from me in that thing was Ten. Everything else, my squee is mitigated by various things that end in me going "I'll wait and see."

COMPLETELY UNRELATED, I'd be intrigued if they paralleled/reversed Doomsday with Rose at some point thinking she's trapped in our universe and having a "take me back" freakout.

Anyway, that certainly looks like Donna. Though maybe made of wax.

I'm such a dork. I watched the trailer through in slow motion - that's how I caught it. And I squeed about nearly everything. Even Rose, which is very strange for me.

I really hope they do parallel Rose in Doomsday like that. She's really got to make the choice for herself to return this time, it'd be the most dramatic and to the point way to do it, and if she goes back afterwards we can really have closure on Ten/Rose forever.

He really doesn't seem all that cheerful. Probably because Rose returning means the Misses meets the Ex the breach isn't closed, the consequences of which could be devastating.

I'm so glad you caught that frame because I was really wondering who that was. It does look a little like Donna but everything else is very strange. She looks wired like a she's half-robot or something.

Your theory is very interesting. I would like to see some followup with that alternate universe business. The possibilities it introduces make my head spin.

It was a hard moment to catch. There's a blink-and-you-miss-it close up on Donna in what appears to be the same scene just moments later which confirms its her. It looks really interesting, I can't wait to find out what's actually going on.

This is an AWESOME theory. I love it to pieces. And, um, being a dimensional breach would kind of make her Charley, which just increases the likelihood to me, because G-d knows Cardiff likes to rip off do homages to Big Finish.

Thanks. I haven't listened to any of Charley's BF audios, but her storyline sounds fascinating. If I were Team Cardiff I'd be ripping it off paying homage.

(If those rumor that Donna's going to find out that she was supposed to die with the Racnoss are true, then I will take it for a given that she's hole in the fabric of Time from which the planet eating stuff is sneaking out.)

I'd heard Catherine Tate was wearing that coat with the wires during episode 11 filming. And I do worry about poor Donna. I adore her.

Wow... another fascinating theory. I feel like there's obviously something really essential about Donna, which is why we've had so much ominous foreshadowing about her for the entire season. There must be something unique to her that matters--and puts her in danger--and a connection between her and the breach makes sense in that respect.

I didn't notice the UNIT folks until you pointed them out. Very nice catch. If there's alt!Torchwood, it makes sense that there's also alt!UNIT.

And Rose did look quite awesome in the trailer! I love both Rose and Donna so I really can't wait to see them on screen together.
