Silence in the Library

meddowThe last two Moffat episodes, I've ended up with some kind of injury, entirely thanks to my skittish flatmate who screamed so loudly at the clockwork robot under the bed I spilled my coffee, and latched onto my arm so hard during Blink I ended up with bruises.
Keeping this in mind, I implemented an action plan:
1. No food or drink of any kind.
2. Another flatmate was between me and her on the couch.
There was success. Strangely enough, this episode wasn't quite a scary as I thought it would be. Still scary though.
I can't really say much about it. I feel you really have to see the second part of it before you can get a good grasp of the plot. The element were bloody creepy though, particularly the data ghosts.
And *shudders* the shadows eating the guy alive in the spacesuit. And then Donna's face. Woah.
Something has made me very cranky and that was that Donna had barely anything to do. I know Moffat's always been far more interested in his original characters than the Companion, but come on, we've barely got any Donna left and she wasn't in the promo bit for next week.
*Sulks*
Has Alex Kingston signed on for series five? Or signed something? Because I do like her character, and I love the idea of the Doctor running into someone after they've had their story but before he's experienced it. But if she's just going to show up for two episodes and then disappear forever, then I think it's a waste. And I have the feeling that's going to be the case. I'm getting just a little tired of the one-episode heartstring pulling wonders. We had one just two episodes ago in the form of Jenny. It's a new series convention that's getting overused. One a series, please.
Anyway, it was really really good. I'm possibly just mentioning my nitpicks rather than sqeeing because I'm really tired right now. I can't wait to see what happens next week, particularly with the little girl and her doctor.
