jadeddiva tagged me and tracking down pictures turned out to be an incredibly enjoyable use of a couple of hours. Best. Meme. Ever? I think so.

5. Gregory Peck (obviously before he got old and died) – Not only is he incredibly handsome, there is just something magnificent about the guy, an old school Hollywood charisma. Watch The Omen if you don’t believe me and try to take your eyes of him. I really can’t remember if it was The Omen, To Kill a Mockingbird or Roman Holiday that hooked me.





4. Ioan Gruffudd (*La la la la la the Fantastic Four movies never happened*) – Got hooked on him (and Paul McGann for that matter) watching the Hornblower TV movies (very highly recommended – hours and hours of period military uniform porn) and was recently re-hooked watching Amazing Grace. It’s how brilliant he looks in period costume that’s the real reason probably. And the fact he’s Welsh.





3. David Bowie - Labyrinth. Enough said.

Well that and I was watching Parkinson once and he was on, and not only seemed to be a great guy, but I fell for his music as well. And voice. You can’t go past a sexy voice.





2. Cillian Murphy So I go in to watch a Batman movie and there he and his cheekbones were. Just look at him, he’s gorgeous. And thing is, in half the movies I’ve seen him in, he’s playing some sort of dangerous lunatic with little to no grip on sanity and I still want to shag him





1. Jack Davenport - My falling head over heals for Jack Davenport is well documented in this journal and entirely to do with Pirates of the Caribbean. Like Gregory Peck, I think he’s got an old school Hollywood charisma. Except he completely excels because he manages to mix it with that voice and the fact he’s so very articulate, funny and intelligent in interviews.

He's gorgeous. You need to rent/see all of the Hornblower TV movies and Amazing Grace. Don't go for the Fantastic Four movies, when it comes to Ioan Gruffudd always pick period costume over contemporary.

Will follow your advice! Men in period costume are Teh Win. Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy first opened my eyes to that, and then there's Richard Armitage in North and South...

I paid the almighty IMDB a visit, and they say it's pronounced YO-an GRIFF-ith...hm. I think I'll keep imagining it's something more exotic :)
